It's archive activity time! Why not have a go at making this puzzle of an image of Royalty on Windsor Bridge?

Taken in 1935, it shows Queen Mary accompanied by the Duke of Gloucester, third son of King George V, travelling over Windsor Bridge, followed by the Blues and Royals, a division of the Household Cavalry. The photograph was taken during King George V’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.

A fitting celebratory photograph given that the bridge was officially opened 200 years ago in June 1824. Having begun construction in 1822, it was made with stone and three arches made with iron. It was was a toll bridge until 1898 and continued to be heavily used until 1970 when it was deemed unsuitable for motorised traffic. The bridge is Grade II listed and you can find out more about the listing on the Historic England website. Although motorised traffic is unable to use the bridge today, it is still regularly used by pedestrians to walk from Windsor town to Eton High Street.
